Squeaky Shoes

video
We got these shoes online, where I failed to read about the fact there are little squeakers in the heels. I just saw red leather mary janes for $10 and thought great! We'll get them in the next size up so Ingrid has shoes for next summer! Then we got them in the mail and she tried them on, and they...squeaked. Like a dog toy. In fact, the dog kept cocking his head and looking around to see where the noise was coming from. Ingrid, of course, thought this was the best invention ever, and had fun running up and down the hallway until I made her take them off. They are really big on her, so I still have time to figure out how to take out the squeakers. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea??? Every single step they take they squeak? No. No. No.

Not sure why anyone would think squeaking shoes are a good invention! They are super cute, though even though they are also super annoying!

Good luck getting the squeakers out - those shoes are adorable!

I think there were a bunch of blog giveaways for squeaking shoes, maybe a year ago?

I finally gave in and got my kids light shoes, just so they would put shoes on without a fight. But lights are subtle compared to squeaking shoes!

Sorry Amber, but I can't stop laughing. That is the stupidest idea I ever saw, but also the funniest because it isn't happening in MY house!!

Thanks for the laugh :) That is just a hoot. My dogs were going nuts looking for the toy when I played the video. I'm sure Ingrid loves them, too bad Mommy needs earplugs :)

Oh how funny (and most irritating). I have seen the shoes with lights but never squeaky shoes. It looks as if Ingrid likes the squeak for now, but surely she would get fed up with it eventually too! :)

I actually own squeaky shoes for my lil one. He is still crawling and pulling up onto things. Being a new walker I think this idea is cute. He hardly walks around enough for it to be annoying.
