Ten Months Old

Ingrid is ten months old now. She's doing lots of new fun stuff. Like hugging, and doing the appropriate things when you sing If You're Happy and You Know It. She loves to stomp her feet! And she can stand up in the crib, which is great when she's tired and can't figure out how to sit back down. Makes for a really fun time getting her down for a nap...

Brendan set up the tent in the living room the other day and she loved to play in there. Camping this summer should be fun. She loves to sit and look at her baby books, and now can point to things she finds interesting.


And like any other kid, Ingrid likes to eat broccoli. HUH? I didn't like the stuff until I was in my 20s, but she's loved it since day 1. Weird.

Beautiful Spring Day

We went on a walk to a nearby park today. Ingrid is still unsure of the swings.

She sure did like the pear I gave her for the walk home, though. What a mess!

Playdate with Allie

We went to our friend's house today. Ingrid is three days younger than Allie but way more active! She kept stealing Allie's toys away and basically was a baby tornado.

Busy Busy Baby

Last week Ingrid and I met some friends at a park in Ann Arbor. It was so nice out and we got to go swinging and see some ducks and geese. Ingrid can't make the quack sound, but her mouth was going like she wanted to say it. She definitely knows what a duck says :)
She has now learned how to sit on her knees, which she thinks is pretty cool. It's so fun to see her master something and then go on to the next thing. She's sitting well, so now it's sitting on the knees. She's crawling well so now it's time to stand. Even standing is becoming easy so now she's starting to move from one thing to another. Walking is just around the corner!

Brendan and I went to Milwaukee last weekend so he could defend his dissertation. He's very close to being done, hooray! Ingrid got to hang out with Gramma and eat some spaghetti. Yum.

Camden's Birthday

Ingrid and I made a surprise visit to Camden's birthday party. Because it's only 2 hours away and not 5 like it was from Milwaukee!!

9 Month Visit

We met our new doctor here in Michigan last week. Ingrid got to wear a little robe with clowns on it, it was extremely cute. She is now 20 lbs and 29 inches long. She has seven teeth and is now on table foods, no more baby food! Cody gets most of it, though, since it all falls on the floor... Ingrid is now standing up to furniture and tries to slowly plop back down but she hasn't thought of moving along the furniture yet, which is fine by me. I am in no hurry for her to walk!

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit!

This past weekend Bob and Kathy ventured through the rain to see us in Michigan.

I put on Ingrid's homemade Brewer's shirt and barrette just for the occasion. She looks so cute in it! Thanks, Karin!

Here's Ingrid showing them how she can do "so big." For some reason she cocks her head now when she does it. I have no idea why but it sure is adorable.

We went to their hotel and went swimming. Ingrid got to wear her new bathing suit I got for this summer. I don't know if it will fit her the whole season even though it's 18-24 months.

Kangaroo

Ingrid pet a kangaroo today. We went to a petting zoo and saw horses, goats, chickens, turkeys. All normal petting zoo things. Then the owners came out with a baby kangaroo and wallabee. Random! It was really cute to watch the 'roo jump around. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera so no pictures of it. Shoot.

Busy Little Girl

Ingrid has been busy as usual. I made her a blanket and she loved to roll around in it. It gave her static head.

She also looked so cute in her dress for Story Time, but she couldn't crawl in it so we changed when we got home.

She also loves to play with socks.

Winter Walkin'

On Friday, Ingrid and I took Cody for a nice long walk. Even though it was right after her afternoon nap, Ingrid fell asleep in the backpack. She looked so funny that a neighbor even pulled over in her car and asked if she was okay since her head was all slumped over and bobbing with every step. Yep, she's okay, just sleeping...

Today I took Cody out again, but this time Ingrid stayed inside with Brendan. Too cold for a little peanut. We took some pictures of what will hopefully be the last of the winter weather. Cross
