We went to the Botanical Gardens today and looked at all the plants. It was so nice to walk around and feel warm air and smell the greenery. It was much needed since we got a bunch of snow this weekend...Ingrid liked to watch the fish in the ponds and grab at the plants. Here are some of the cool plants we saw:
Yep, nine months today. We still don't have a doctor here in MI yet, though, so I haven't been able to take her to her nine month checkup. Thus, I have no idea how big she is. I don't believe in having a scale in my home :)
This weekend Gramma came to visit. Ingrid helped unload the dishwasher... ...helped make a birthday cake for mama... ...helped blow out the candles... ...played with the cat... ...had naked time... ...and got new teeth. It was exhausting.
The other day we took a walk around downtown Ypsilanti. It's pretty cute. There are some great old buildings and signs. We met a very nice man at a bike shop and had a delicious lunch at a place called Beezy's which reminded us of Fuel without the motorcycle theme.
Here's Ingrid playing Giddyup with Gramma. She had the most fun doing that!
And here she is doing her army crawl. She knows how to crawl on her hands and knees, but goes much faster this way. Whatever gets her to where she wants to go is fine with her... She's also starting to climb up to the furniture. Yesterday we had a mishap, though, when she sat straight down on a wooden toy. Youch!
Ingrid has been doing really well in the new apartment. She loves to chase the cats and Cody around, she loves the vertical blinds, and she loves the big window and all the birds that are out in the trees. It's been too cold to go outside much, but when it warms up there are all kinds of parks and trails around here that will be fun to check out. These pictures are from when we had no hot water. Gramma heated up water on the stove and poured it in the sink for tubby time. We chose to think of it as not dirty water but a spa like mineral bath :)
