Doing Our Civic Duty
Today we went to vote early. It was INSANE!! We parked downtown, didn't have enough change to plug the meter, but went anyway, naively thinking it wouldn't take that long. Wrong! We had to make our way downstairs, get in one line to get paperwork, another line to hand in the paperwork, and yet one more to get our ballots. Then we had to stand in line after voting to get our envelope signed. It took a long time, but Ingrid was awesome, flirting with everyone from the front pack and just enjoying herself. I am so proud of everyone for standing in line without getting irritated. If you're not going to vote early, remember to go on November 4th!! Go Obama!!

Five Months Old!
Ingrid is five months old now, and boy how big she is!! She got weighed when she went to the doctor's a couple weeks ago and was 15 1/2 lbs, so the stage 2 nipples seem to have worked! She is also eating her cereal and food very well now. Instead of spitting everything out, she actually opens her mouth and swallows the food. So far she really likes sweet potatoes and bananas. She is almost sitting by herself, she just has to get the balance thing down.

Fun at a Farm
We went to the Family Farm this weekend with Peter and Carl. Ingrid got to see goats, donkeys, cows, chickens, and a huge horse who scared the crap out of me by sticking his head out his door when Brendan took her near him. I thought he might like an Ingrid snack, and I didn't much care for the idea. Next year should be even more fun when she'll be running around and can go on a hay ride to the pumpkin patch!
