Germanfest
Last night we took Ingrid to her first Germanfest. We met our friends James and Ulrike there and drank lots of beer, listened to some oompapa music, looked at cool German crap to buy, and watched some fireworks. Ingrid, as usual, was a champ. She stayed awake and happy all night and then went to bed easily when we got home. Good girl!

Shots...
Well, Ingrid had her two month checkup today and she is almost 24 inches long, weighs 11 lb 9 oz, and has a flat head. She may have to get physical therapy to help her move her neck to the other side so her head evens out! But she's doing well and growing like a weed and she did amazingly well with her vaccines. She cried for about a minute but that was due to the fact she had to get held down while the nurse gave her her shots, not really because of the shots. And she slept 8 hours in a row last night!! Hurrah!

A walk in the park
Today we met with Sally, Peter, and Carl. I used to nanny for them and could possibly continue in the fall if we stay in Milwaukee. We went to Lake Park and took a walk, which was awesome. I had no idea there were so many cool trails and bridges and even a lighthouse ?! It was cool. Then we went back to the playground and found a free arts and crafts table set up. I love Milwaukee in the summertime! Ingrid had fun, too, and watching Carl and Peter run around made me appreciate her being so small right now!

Fireworks and Baseball
For Ingrid's first Fourth of July we were truly American. We took Cody to the park, cooked hot dogs on the grill with Mark and Emma, and walked to Mitchell Park to watch the fireworks. She slept in the front pack, but Brendan and I got to ooh and aah over them. Then on Saturday we decided to go to a Brewer's game. We put her in the front pack and walked to the stadium. We got french fries and beer and I got ketchup all over her hair. Oops. Ingrid was so amazing at the baseball game, she just sat with us and was bright eyed, taking everything in. She got ogled by more than a few people, who all said she was so adorable. Yeah, we know :) And on a very happy note, we're going on three nights of her sleeping five or more hours!
