Helping Mama

Ingrid's been a good little helper lately.  I really do feel lucky she likes to play by me while I sew, it makes it easy to get stuff done.  Now that Otis is here, he's really the one that hinders my sewing (thanks a lot, buddy!)  With Ingrid I can just pull out the box of scraps or show her my new pin cushion and she can find ways to keep herself busy.

Yesterday I finished up some things for the shop and had to take pictures.  They weren't turning out right just laying on a table, so Ingrid helped.  She's such a good model!

Our friend Tia came to take pictures of Otis on Sunday.  I really cannot wait to see them!!!  She's amazing.  Her daughter is a couple years older than Ingrid so she brought three bags of hand me downs for Ingrid.  It was like Christmas up in here.  Of course Ingrid had to try on everything, including a nightgown with pj pants, a bikini, and this getup.  Yesterday was a full day of changing into new clothes.  How easy it is to please a young one...

Today we are going to play play play.  I feel like I've been really neglectful of Ingrid lately and just having her do stuff near me instead of actually engaging with her.  But today the shop is stocked, laundry is done, groceries have been bought, and after my computer time this morning it's all her.  And Otis.  But he's easy enough usually!  If time does allow, and Ingrid is up for it, we got new wool felt in the mail and I want to cut out a couple pairs of those new baby shoes.  But only if my little dearie wants to.  It's her day today.

New Things Every Day!

Ingrid has her first tooth! It just popped through last night or this morning, which makes the past few days make so much sense! She went from sleeping through the night to waking up two or three times. Ugh! But I get it now, it must hurt to get your teeth...

Ingrid also had an infected cheek. Her cheeks got chapped from all her drool, then got an infection. So her cute rosy cheeks were actually not that cute. But after a little Neosporin, they are fine.

She got her six month pictures taken today by our friend Tia. I can't wait to see them, she does such great work! Ingrid was so tired and wouldn't smile for most of them, just gave her open-mouth big eyed stare, but they should be cute anyway. She has grown so much! Her six month appointment is next week, so I'll be sure to share her stats when I get them.

Baths and sleeping problems

Here's a picture of Ingrid in her new bathtub. She liked it better than the sink where it was all slippery and I felt like I was going to drop her. She still has a screamy face but she's young. She'll get used to being bathed...

The past couple days Ingrid has been having lots of problems with sleeping. But haha, baby, we will not be bested!! She sleeps in the front pack, so mom can get stuff done around the house, and we figured out she likes her vibrating chair at night a lot better than the crib. So after a whopping four hours of sleep in a row!! mom is refreshed this morning.

Yesterday our friend Tia came over for a photo shoot with our little ham. Ingrid was neckid and peed all over me twice. But I'm sure the pictures will be fantastic. I'll post some when I get the cd from Tia. She's an amazing photographer for anyone in the Milwaukee area needing wedding/maternity/baby pictures. Hire her!
