Ingrid Goes to a Birthday Party!

Happy 1st Birthday, Keagan!!

We went to Chicago on Sunday to celebrate Keagan's first birthday. We had a lot of fun, Keagan got a lot of presents, and there were tons of people to pay attention to Ingrid.

Stuff and Things

Ingrid went out with friends again. She loves Elysia, who's exactly a month older than she is.

Ingrid went with mommy to the salon and got some product in her hair. Unfortunately you can't really see the awesome mohawk. Goes well with her punk bib.

Moms make mistakes

So...I just realized why Ingrid wasn't eating or gaining weight. I forgot I had to change the nipples on her bottles to get more flow. So she was eating out of the slow flow, not getting enough food, and therefore giving up after 2 oz. Today I went to the store and got new ones, and ta dah!! She's had two feedings of 6 oz. Don't I feel like a crappy mom?? I was totally starving my daughter...

Ingrid's New Things

Ingrid got a new snowsuit for this winter. It was supposed to be red but it's blue.

Ingrid got a new Bumbo seat so she can sit. She likes it for the most part, but she's still so into her toes that she ends up slumped over trying to get them.

Ingrid tried rice cereal for the first time last night. She didn't like it, but we made it too thick. This morning I made it runnier and she ended up eating a few spoonfuls before she gagged.

Four Months Old

Ingrid is officially four months old! She went to the doctor today and weighs 12 lb. 9 oz. (30th percentile) and is 27 in. long (off the charts!) She needs to eat more--it seems our little curious george is too busy checking things out to focus on eating. She'll start cereal soon, that might help, too.

She got four shots today and has not been very happy. Don't call me early tomorrow, I have a feeling I won't be getting much sleep tonight.

Yesterday Ingrid had a hard time getting to sleep in the afternoon. I bundled her up in a blanket and she burrowed her face right in and promptly fell asleep. Funny girl.



And before I forget, Ingrid finally got to meet Aunt Brooke! She was in town from London visting her mom, so Ingrid and I went out to breakfast with her. She was very nice and gave us some cute tshirts, which Ingrid is wearing in her doctor picture. We miss you, Brooke!!

Ingrid's New Friends

Ingrid and I have met up with some local moms and their kids for walks along the lake.
Today we met with 3 mo. old Alex,

6 mo. old twins Sam and Grace,

and 11 mo. old Gabby,

She got to eat grass, get some fresh air,

and get attacked by Gabby, who could not get enough of her!!

A night at Diane's

We had a cookout/sleepover with all our friends from UW. Ingrid had a great time.

She slept through Guitar Hero, lots of drunk talking, and skittish Boxer dogs running back and forth down the hall. We love her and how easy going she is!!

Ingrid can do things

Ingrid is learning tons. Here's a video of her reaching to grab a toy. I love to watch her do this because you can see the concentration in her eyes, like "okay, I know I have to get my arms up in the air. Then what? Hmm, okay, now I open my hands..."
